Earlier in the year, before I worked here, I was fortunate enough to be asked to go on a team building day at the Boiler House, I say fortunate because it has to be one of the most exciting experiences I have had.  I came down with the rest of my team not really knowing what to expect, I had recently lost a fair amount of weight so this would be the first time I had ever been able to join in anything physical, so when asked what I wanted to try, I just said EVERYTHING, which is exactly what i did, starting with a team building game, then zip wire, high slack line, low slack line, ladder climb, caving, archery, circus skills, climbing wall and low ropes course.  At some point we stopped for lunch but all I wanted to do was get back to the activities.

One of the things that made the day were the instructors we had, they were very professional but also very approachable, encouraging you when you felt a little apprehensive, I was never made to feel a failure, even when I wasn’t any good at something, archery and circus skills come to mind.  When it was time to go home we all said what an exciting day we had had, and couldn’t wait to do it again,  but next time I would love to do some of the outdoor activities they do down here.
